First Vesper for the New Year

What a perfect coincidence that 1 January 2010 fell on a Friday. What made the Friday even more special was the arrival of our much-awaited pastor,  Isagani Valencia. It was truly a memorable day for all who were present on that joyous occasion. Close to about 50 people attended the vesper to welcome the new pastor.

Pastor Isagani preached about team building and also with regard to our church building here in Singapore. He shared his tearful departure from the Philippines although, he expressed that it was the will of God that brought him here. The audience received him with joy as they were clearly entertained and captivated by his comical delivery of his message, as well as his funny stories.

We pray that God will be with him as he guides the Filipino Ministry on embarking a new goal: to reach out to the Filipino community in Singapore and win more souls for the Lord. Hopefully, in the following years to come, we will finally be able to establish our very own Filipino Seventh-day Adventist Church here in Singapore. CVT
